FAQs

How does professional coaching work?

Depending on the package selected, we will meet in person or virtually once every week for one hour. Clients have recurring appointments based on the schedule selected when booking their sessions.

What results can I expect working with you?

I will be guiding you and providing you the tools to make the transformation you desire, but the results are often dependent upon you and your commitment to follow the coaching program and my recommendations along with a clear objective of the change you desire & will obtain.

Is it important to hire a certified coach?

Yes, it is very important! As a certified coach, I have received professional training, achieved a designated number of experience hours and have been coached directly by Psychologist Dr. Shefali Tsabary. Many have taken to adding the word “coach” to their title hoping to ride the coaching bandwagon. Make sure your coach has received coach-specific training from a recognized educational institute.

Can you coach my child?

The main work is done with the parents, as the conscious parenting philosophy believes it is within the parents that we can for the most part find the change needed to improve the child’s behavior. However, if your child is above the age of twelve and I see that it can be of benefit to include him/her in a few sessions, then together we will decide on the best strategy to make them a part of our work together.

Who might need a parenting coach?

A parenting coach can help with a variety of challenges including: parenting practices, stress-related parenting issues, developmental activities, parenting during a transition or crisis, parenting questions, behavior problems & others.

How long do clients typically work with a coach ?

I honor whatever timing the client feels it needs for their process, but based on experience, I recommend the client to commit to a minimum of one month and a half of coaching. A period of three to six months is ideal for a lasting transformation.

Does my partner need to participate?

While it is always suggested for both parents to assist, it is entirely possible to do the work with just one parent, and it is also the most common scenario. I truly believe that children can thrive with just one great guide/role model. Remember, Parent Coaching is open to anyone who is caring for a child. That means, parents, foster parents, grandparents, married, co-parenting or single parents

Can I use a different method of payment?

For your comfort, all bookings can be made through the website and all major credit cards are accepted for payment, as well as a PayPal account. If for any reason you prefer to use Zelle, or Venmo please let us know.

What are the benefits of coaching?

Parent coaching can: Re-establish positive family relationships, improve lines of communication, build confidence and self-efficacy in parents and children & develop problem solving skills and metacognitive skills among others.

What is the difference between coaching & therapy?

Generally speaking, coaching is more focused on helping you with present challenges, while psychotherapy tends to have more of a past focus. The focus in psychotherapy is more on healing from the past, while the focus in coaching is more on getting you to where you wish to be next.

Are the sessions virtual or in person?

All sessions will automatically be scheduled to be virtually through the Zoom platform. If all your sessions are scheduled to be on the same week-day and time then only one link will be sent. If they differ per week then you would receive an individual link per session. I am currently located in South Florida and always welcome the opportunity to assist you in person, so if this is your preference please kindly let us know.

Do you offer payment arrangements?

To obtain the discounted rates I recommend you take advantage of the packages provided here. If your financial situation it’s not permitting you to make a full payment then we will work together to make a payment arrangement. However, please note that every session must be paid prior to scheduling it.
